Claims Handlers - Manchester
Main Purpose of Job
- Handle high value and more complex travel claims. Handle potentially fruadulent claims
Give technical guidance to less experienced team members
Use daily reports for control and monitoring of claims quality and procedures
Handle complaints and appeals
Support supervisors in running claims department efficiently whilst providing excellent customer service
And act as key contact for claims queries for corporate and internal customers
Main Responsibilities
- • Complete daily checking of claims data to ensure total accuracy of scheme allocation, reserving and system data
- • To continually review held reserves
- • To assist with quality control, and feedback performance issues to claims management
- • To reduce claims costs by monitoring settlements and providing focused technical coaching to staff
- • To reduce average claims costs by identifying fraud and preventing leakage
- • To improve the recovery rate
- • To systematically review pending files, closing where applicable
- • To support and develop the interface between claims and TSS
- • To handle complaints and escalations
- • To review claims where settlement is disputed
- • To identify and help implement process improvements
- • To perform any required duties to assist in the smooth running of the department
